<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To detect double feed by using a subsidiary thermistor for detecting temperature rise at an end in an image forming device having a plurality of termistors in a fixing device. SOLUTION: The temperature of the subsidiary thermistor in the midst of paper passing is cyclically read. When temperature change is monitored and large change is found in the rate of the temperature change (temperature rise at the end), it is judged as the occurrence of the double feed. Then, the output of a heater is weakened or stopped.</p> |
