PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an solid-state image pickup device capable of suppressing white blurring or black blurring on the photographed surface without increasing the dynamic range of each pixel in itself, even if large difference in quantity of light is generated between objects within a photographing scope. SOLUTION: During a single cycle of resetting storage voltage in each pixel, an image signal having a long storage time (delay period D) which is outputted from a delay circuit 40 and an image signal having a short storage time (period D) which is successively outputted from a second signal output circuit are selectively operated, or both of them are operated in a signal output section 41 on the basis of an arbitrarily preset threshold.
