PURPOSE: A storage tank structure and its construction method are provided to reduce construction time and construction cost since the storage tank structure buried in the ground is constructed conveniently and economically. CONSTITUTION: The storage tank structure comprises: a mold tank(10) of a drum shape whose upper part is opened; and a storage tank(20) storing reserve materials and housed in the mold tank so as to be spaced from a side wall(13) and bottom(14) of the mold tank. In case that concrete is poured in a gap space(12) between the outer wall of the storage tank and the side wall and bottom of the mold tank, a concrete wall body surrounding the storage tank is prepared around the outer wall of the storage tank.
