PURPOSE: A frame grabber for interfacing video data is provided to selectively transmit a color video output signal of a video decoder according to a select switch. CONSTITUTION: A frame grabber for interfacing video data includes an input unit for receiving analog video data, a video decoder(22) for converting the analog video data into digital video data, and a select switch(23) for controlling color/black-and-white images. The frame grabber further includes four 8-bit field memories(24) for storing 16-bit digital video data output from the video decoder, a multiplexer(25) for selectively transmitting the digital video data to the field memories according to the select switch, and a PLD controller(26) for controlling storage of the video data according to the select switch.
