PURPOSE: An apparatus for supporting resonant springs of a reciprocating compressor is provided to prevent abrasion of components due to friction and to reduce vibration and noise of the compressor. CONSTITUTION: An apparatus includes a piston(50) receiving driving force of a reciprocating motor(40) to linearly reciprocate in a cylinder(30); frames(20,100) placed on both sides of the piston; a first resonant spring(111) and a second resonant spring(112) placed between the piston and the frames, respectively, to support both sides of the piston; a first spring base(130), a second spring base(131), a third spring base(132) and a fourth spring base(133) placed on both sides of the first resonant spring and the second resonant spring, respectively; and shock absorbing members(E) inserted between the spring bases and the resonant springs to absorb friction and shock between the spring bases and the resonant springs. Torsion, shock and vibration generated by the first resonant spring and the second resonant spring elastically supporting the piston by contracting and relaxing are absorbed by the shock absorbing members.
