PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To enable effective signal processing. SOLUTION: An image pickup device has a first photographing region having a plurality of photoelectric conversion sections, a second photographing region having a plurality of photoelectric conversion sections, a first output section for outputting signals from the first photographing section, a second output section for outputting signals from the second photographing section, a first signal processing means for processing signals from the first output section, a second signal processing means for processing signals from the second output means, and an adjusting means for controlling so that, when transmitting first information to the first and second signal processing means, the signals are transmitted to these means simultaneously, and when transmitting second information to the first and second signal processing means, the information are successively transmitted to these means.
