PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an equipment operating device enabling even a visually handicapped person to easily perform various operations of equipment similarly to a healthy person. SOLUTION: This device is equipped with a function control part 110 for shifting the operation of the equipment to a voice mode, when a user is recognized to be a visually handicapped person, and an operation control part 120 for controlling various operations from the user in the case of the voice mode. The operation control part 120 controls a menu control part 160 for arranging operation items of the equipment as a hierarchical menu comprising set items and function numbers corresponding thereto, and managing movement to a desired set item on the hierarchy and the selection state of the set item, an operation input part 130 for inputting the movement to the set item on the hierarchical menu or the selection operation of the user, and a sound output part 180 for informing the user of the operation result by a sound and a voice according to the movement to the set item on the hierarchical menu or the selection by the user. Consequently, the visually handicapped person can operate the equipment without using vision. |
