PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a control method capable of simultaneously calling many LAN phone terminals located within a particular range in a simple processing in a private branch exchange system accommodating a plurality of the LAN phone terminals via a LAN line. SOLUTION: When a private branch exchange (hereinafter called a PBX) capable of connection and control of the LAN phone terminals makes an instruction to all the LAN phone terminals located in a sub net, first the PBX transmits the instruction to one terminal in the sub net, then the LAN phone terminal receiving the instruction employs broadcasting to transfer the instruction to the other LAN phone terminals.
