PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a slip ring device in which the compression stroke of the sliding contactor to a pair of mutually opposing slip rings can be sufficiently secured, while it is space saving. SOLUTION: This is a slip ring device 10 in which the electrical connection of a solid body 11 and the rotary body 20 in free relative rotation is made by slide contacting the sliding contacts 17, 18 provided on the solid body 11 side to the sliding face 34a, 35a of the slip rings 30, 31. A pair of slip rings 30, 31 are fitted detachably to the rotary body 20 with a prescribed interval so that each sliding face 34a, 35a is opposed to each other, and the sliding contacts 17, 18 which slides contact the sliding face 34a, 35a of each slip ring 30, 31 is freely fitted to the solid body 11 through a contact fitting unit 14, and a stepped portion is provided at the fitting part 15 of this contact fitting unit 14. Each sliding contact 17, 18 is fitted freely to the high place 15A and the low place 15B of the fitting part 15 provided with this stepped portion.
