PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide image forming equipment which enables accurate shading correction without delaying read start of an original document. SOLUTION: A shading circuit 53 is provided with a decision part 101 in which digital data converted from an output signal of a CCD unit 8 are inputted, a RAM 102 and a shading operating part 103. The decision part 101 decides whether input digital data of each picture element is smaller than a previously determined reference value. When digital data whose value is smaller than the reference value exist, the decision part calculates a digital average of a picture element different from the picture element of the digital data, and performs controlling to store the average in the RAM 102, as digital data whose value is smaller than the reference value. |
