PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To estimate the control relationship between genes from gene expression amount data and gene array data by a computer. SOLUTION: An early expression gene and a delayed expression gene are arbitrarily selected from the gene expression amount time series data, and the mutual correlation function related to the two genes is obtained. When an alienation test is made and null hypothesis is rejected, the two genes are recorded. The above procedure is performed until all the early expression gene and delayed expression gene are selected, and then a transfer factor, a gene having a number of consensus control arrays of the transfer factor in an upstream array, and the preceding recorded early expression gene and delayed expression gene are respectively checked. If consistent, two genes are recorded, and it is estimated that the two genes have the control relationship.
