PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To reduce cost by reducing the number of components and to realize space saving of the mounting space on the printed-circuit board in the heat- utilizing apparatus such as a rice cooker that detects the temperature of the heated object heated by a heating means. SOLUTION: In the apparatus, the temperature of the heated object 1 heated by the heating means 2 is detected by a temperature detecting means 3, and the heating means 2 is controlled by a controlling means 6 having a comparison operation means 5 that compares the output from a comparison voltage setting means 4 for setting one reference voltage out of a plurality of prescribed reference voltages with the outside input. The output of the temperature detecting means 3 is made the outside input to the comparison operation means 5, and by switching over the inside standards of the comparison operation means 5, a plurality of prescribed temperature are detected.
