PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a connector in which steady fitting of the connectors is assured without lowering the work efficiency since the short circuit releasing operation is made a separate operation from the fitting operation of the connectors. SOLUTION: After the connectors 10, 30 are fitted, a short circuit releasing member 40 is mounted on the first connector 10. Thereby, the short circuit releasing member 40 depresses the first connector 10 in the direction to be fitted with the second connector 30. Thereby, the mounting operation of the short circuit releasing member 40 becomes a second fitting operation to the connectors which are already completed in the fitting operation, that is, a fitting assurance operation. Therefore, another fitting assurance operation separate from the mounting operation of the short circuit releasing member 40 becomes unnecessary, thus the work efficiency is improved.
