PURPOSE: Lid structure for a washing machine is provided to improve convenience by opening a lid easily with lifting up without bending the wrist, and to check washing state accurately by manufacturing the transparent lid. CONSTITUTION: A washing machine comprises an outer case; a top cover(2) formed on the outer case and composed of an opening for access to a washing tub and a lid placing surface(200) recessed downward; a planar lid body(4) combined with the rear part of the top cover by a hinge and placed in the lid placing surface of the top cover to cover the upper part of the washing tub; and a handle(5) combined with the front of the lid body. Washing state in the washing tub is checked accurately and the appearance is improved by making the transparent lid body. The lid is opened easily by lifting up without bending the wrist. |
