The motor-reduction gear unit has an electric motor driving a gear transmission. A damped coupler (6) connects input and output of the transmission to motor and window mechanism. The damping material (17) is placed in radial slots. Torque transducers (13,14) are placed in the slot with the damper and use a piezoresistive device or a transformer to give a signal representative of load.
