PURPOSE: A specific area extraction method is provided to enhance a success rate of extracting a feature pattern of a target object, which can be variously expressed according to the image process method, by applying one extraction scheme in a case that other extraction scheme fails in the feature pattern extraction. CONSTITUTION: The method comprises several steps. A system sets various feature patterns expressed in a binary image according to an image process of a target object(S110). If an image of a target object is taken by a camera and input, the system performs a preprocess on the input image(S120). The preprocessed input image is converted into a binary image(S130). Then, the system checks whether the preset feature patterns exist at the converted binary image(S140), and if they exist, the system determines a specific area of the target object at the input image(S150).
