WIRELESS CREDIT CARD PROCESSOR HAVING BUILT-IN FUEL DISPENSE METER

PURPOSE: A wireless credit card processor is provided to enable a driver to easily check a fuel dispense quantity and price during fuelling or fuel-pricing, and to make payment with a credit card while the driver is sitting in a car. CONSTITUTION: The apparatus(30) comprises a wireless transceiver(34), a display(36) and a credit card process module(38). The wireless transceiver(34) interactively communicates data with another transceiver(22) connected to a controller(20). The display(36) displays a current fuel dispense quantity and price, which are transmitted via the wireless transceivers(34, 22) by the controller(20). The controller(20) receives the data from a fuel dispenser(13). The apparatus(30) has to be within a range from the wireless transceiver(22) for a data communication. The credit card process module(38) reads the credit card data, transmits the credit card data with transaction data to a server(11), receives an authentication result from the server(11), displays the authentication result on the display(36) and prints a receipt.
