The sealing assembly has a sealing ring (1) supported axially, with at least one static and at least one dynamic sealing lip (1a,1b) which lie radially at the sealed surfaces (3,4). The geometry of at least one sealing lip (1a,1b) is asymmetrical axially and/or radially round the circumference. A disc (5) is inserted between the sealing ring (1) and the axial support surfaces (6), with zones of different thicknesses round its circumference.
