<p>The present invention relates to a multifunctional green fluorescent protein engineered to have a purification tag inserted into a β-barrel structure of the green fluorescent protein molecule, and nucleic acid constructs, host cells, expression systems, and fusion proteins containing the multifunctional green fluorescent protein. The present invention also relates to microarrays having a tagged-green fluorescent protein. Also disclosed are methods for purifying a protein or polypeptide, identifying expression of a protein or polypeptide in biological material, and identifying a target molecule using a multifunctional green fluorescent protein of the present invention.</p> |
