To process material containing clumps of matter, and especially used paper and cardboard for recycling, the material is in a container filled with liquid. A gas or a gas mixture is fed in below the level (11) of liquid in the vessel to separate the components of the material from each other and/or for a spontaneous separation of the matter. The gas is delivered by a gas cannon (2), for an explosive effect with a pressure wave through the liquid, which also transmits the energy of the gas burst. Also claimed is an assembly with a separation container (1) to take the material in a liquid. The assembly is fitted with at least one gas cannon (2) to give burst of gas into the liquid, below the liquid level (11). The separation container is a section of the movement path for the material through the recycling processes. |
