The use of ginger (I), in an amount of more than 0.5 g per 100 kg of body weight, is claimed in the treatment of inflammation and/or pain in horses, cows, pigs or sheep, especially horses. An Independent claim is included for a (I)-containing composition for use, as above, in horses.
