CEILING FAN HANGING ASSEMBLY

A technique for hanging ceiling fans in suspension below a ceiling eliminates a rigid down rod hung in a vertical orientation. Instead, one or more flexible cables 26 are used to suspend the fan. These cables may be attached to corresponding arms 24, extending laterally from a central matting location, and attached to the fan on similar arm 32 extending from a central axis of the fan housing 12.
