摘要 The method involves determining the passing speed and the time at which each axle of an exiting section passes, whereby values for total mass, sum of rolling resistances and braking work are known and a desired exit speed is specified. A virtual axle speed is determined from the total mass, the sum of the rolling resistances and the braking work in the current grid section and corrected to the current measured actual speed. The method involves using a short duration measurement section in the run-out direction before the brake for determining the passing speed and the time at which each axle of an exiting train section passes, whereby values for the total mass, the sum of the rolling resistances of the section and the braking work of the rail brake are known and a desired exit speed is specified. A virtual axle speed of the section is determined from the total mass, the sum of the rolling resistances of the section and the braking work in the current grid section and corrected to the current measured actual speed. AN Independent claim is also included for an arrangement for controlling rail brakes in railway shunting systems.
