The invention relates to a tank for an electrohydraulic braking system. The inventive tank comprises: a first chamber (7) which supplies brake fluid to the primary hydraulic circuit of a master cylinder; a second chamber (9) which supplies a secondary hydraulic circuit of the master cylinder (not shown); a third chamber (11) which supplies a hydraulic pump; and a fourth measuring chamber (13) housing a device which detects if the level of brake fluid in the tank is too low. According to the invention, the tank also comprises means that can be used to create a communication between the first (7), second (9) and third (11) chambers for a hydraulic fluid level above the safety level (s) and to separate said chambers in an impervious manner for a hydraulic fluid level below the safety level (s).
