The fastening device (10) for the tubular gas generator (16) of a side airbag module has a support section (12) into which is integrated a deployment ramp (20) which may be by forming. The fastening device is manufactured as a sheet metal part. An independent claim is included for a side airbag for a motor vehicle's occupant restraint system which includes a gas generator, a folded airbag and the proposed fastening device. The airbag has a gas injection system with an injection opening in which the gas generator at least partially fits.
