<p>The invention concerns propylene-based thermoplastic fibers with homogeneous cross-section, not comprising degraded surface skin, and heat weldable under pressure and at a temperature lower than their melting point, being internally heated under the effect of said pressure. Said fibers consist of a first constituent with high crystallinity and of at least a second constituent, compatible with the first constituent and whereof the crystallinity is lower than that of the first constituent. They comprise an amount of primary anti-oxidant ranging between 350 and 1000 ppm. The manufacturing method consists in spinning said fibers in conditions avoiding oxidative thermo-molecular degradation at the periphery of the fibers, in particular by rapid cooling, immediately at the die output. The nonwoven obtained by thermobonding of such fibers is characterized by welding points in the form of a homogeneous and transparent multilayer or laminated polymer.</p> |
