A portable drinking water bag for outdoor use has an outlet which is closed by a combined rigid draw-tube and valve closure (10). The mouthpiece is attached to the surrounding terminal valve outlet (30) by an outer thread. The passage to the mouthpiece outlet (121) is cleared by rotation of the mouthpiece draw-tube with respect to the terminal outlet.
