CURABLE COMPOSITION EXCELLENT IN OPTICAL CHARACTERISTICS

A curable composition composed of a a first monomer represented by the general formula I and b a second monomer represented by the general formula II: I [wherein R1 and R2 are each hydrogen or methyl and the sum of m and n is 0 to 30] and II [wherein R is hydrogen or methyl and n is an integer]. This composition exhibits well-balanced optical properties and excellent mechanical and thermal properties and can give optical materials such as plastic lens improved in colorlessness, transparency and brittleness.
