A cartridge for loading optical disks handled as single bodies and having different sizes in a disk cartridge recording/reproducing apparatus by contriving that optical disks having different sizes can be loaded. The cartridge comprises a cartridge body (2) where a lower shell (7) having an opening (24) for recording/reproduction butts against an upper shell (6) having an insert opening (2a) for inserting a first optical disk (3a), a central shell (4) having an opening (44) corresponding to the opening (24) i n a major surface and rotatably contained in the cartridge body (2), and shutt er members (5a, 5b) so attached to the central shell (4) as to locate on the si de of the lower shell (7) and adapted for opening the openings (24, 44) when th e central shell (4) rotates and the opening (44) comes to the opening (24). A disk-containing portion (11a) has a disk-holding part (11b) for rotatably holding a first optical disk (3a) and a disk holding part (11c) for rotatabl y holding a second optical disk (3c) having a small diameter.
