The method comprises the steps of detecting the first copy protection information identifying said first copy rules, recording at least second copy protection information according to said detected first copy rules, said first and at least second copy protection information identifying a legality message to be interpreted by reading means, recording screening information in a safe way on said storage medium, said screening information identifying that the first copy protection message has been read.
