<p>The invention relates to a method for determining a geometric vehicle inclination (α) of a motor vehicle, in which the acceleration signal from at least one acceleration sensor is used and a speed gradient (dv/dt) is determined from a determined vehicle speed (v), whereby a) an acceleration value (aS) is derived from a force acting on the acceleration sensor (1) for a driven or stationary vehicle, b) a corrected acceleration value (akorr) is determined depending on the speed gradient (dv/dt) and c) the instantaneous vehicle inclination (α) is determined directly from the corrected acceleration value (akorr). The invention further relates to a device for carrying out a method for the determination of a geometric vehicle inclination (α) of a motor vehicle, with a speed measuring device and at least one acceleration sensor, whereby a programmable and readable micro-controller is provided, by means of which the instantaneous vehicle inclination (α) at a travelling speed (v), for the vehicle of greater than or equal to zero, which may be transmitted directly to at least one controller, derived from the values of the speed measuring device and the acceleration sensor.</p> |
