An electronic print job request along with a set of predefined attributes, is provided to computer (12). The usage cost including media cost, binding material cost and printer cost, and the postage cost based on media weight, print format and binding option, are calculated using the set of attributes. The total cost is determined by summing postage and usage costs and is displayed.
