摘要 Process for recovering highly pure oxygen from less pure oxygen in a distillation system consisting of a high pressure column (2) and a low pressure column (3) comprises feeding the process fraction (1) of the less pure oxygen into the high pressure column; feeding a pre-purified oxygen fraction (8, 9, 11) from the high pressure column into the low pressure column; and withdrawing a highly pure oxygen product (16) from the low pressure column. A further stream of a heat exchanger fluid is partially condensed in a high pressure column sump evaporator (4) by indirect heat exchange with the evaporating liquid, the pressure partially relieved and the stream partially vaporized in a low pressure head condenser (6) by indirect heat exchange with a condensing gas. The heat exchange fluid is cooled downstream of the sump evaporator and upstream of the pressure relieving section in a low cooling heat exchanger (105) by indirect heat exchange. An Independent claim is also included for a device for recovering highly pure oxygen from a less pure oxygen in a distillation system. Preferred Features: Gaseous heat exchange fluid removed from the head condenser is heated in the heat exchanger. The heat exchange fluid is cooled upstream of the sump evaporator in a main heat exchanger (104). The main heat exchanger and the low cooling heat exchanger are formed by an integrated heat exchanger block (103).
