Cylinder head (1) for a liquid-cooled multicylinder engine comprises cylinders arranged in the longitudinal direction, a crankcase (2) having cylinder webs (11) arranged between the cylinders in the transverse direction, and separate combustion chambers (12) formed by the cylinder head, the cylinders and the pistons. Coolant channels (16) running opposite the cylinder webs in the transverse direction in the cylinder head supply coolant to the cylinder head in the separating region (14) between the combustion chambers. Preferred Features: The coolant channels are produced during casting of the cylinder head or by drilling.
