The disclosed delivery devices for flow regulating implants comprise a handle and a tube (such as a hollow needle or cannula), with a retractable wire extending through the tube. Prior to deployment, the wire extends a short distance out of the distal end of the tube. The flow regulating implant is mounted on the wire at the distal end of the tube; for example, the implant may have a central bore into which the wire extends. The implant may be held on the wire by friction, by a hook, or by other suitable means. The delivery device includes a trigger that acts on the retractable wire. Actuating the trigger retracts the wire into the tube, thereby releasing the implant.
