The casing (1) contains plug-coupled spindle drive motors (2, 3) and a C-axis drive motor. The casing also includes a double gear (5), C-axis hollow shaft (12), C-axis head mounting (6) and tool carrier (7) which is e.g. an NC head. The double gear (5) has an additional coupling shaft (10) fastened to the spindle drive of the tool carrier (7). Between spindle drive motors (2, 3) and the double gear (5) a central spindle drive shaft is surrounded by the hollow C-axis drive shaft (11). A central coolant tube (13) passes from the spindle drive motor to the coupling shaft (10) through the spindle drive shaft (9). On the machine side, a rotary coupling (14) supplies coolant.
