PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a porous vitrified bond grinding wheel capable of grinding a hardly machinable material such as PCD and PCBN at a high accuracy. SOLUTION: In this porous vitrified bond grinding wheel capable of performing the grinding at high accuracy, >=50% of pores are formed between bond bridges with the pore diameter being in a range of 1.5 to 5.0 times the mean grain size, and the total pore quantity in a super abrasive grain layer is 25-45 vol.%. The grinding wheel with the sharpness capable of grinding even a super hardly machinable material such as PCD and PCBN at a high efficiency is provided by adding 0.2-15 vol.% solid lubricant in the bond.
