PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a tie bar attachable/detachable device with a simple configuration which can smoothly bites a tie bar and a tie bar fixing nut without any collision or damage to a thread of a tie bar tip with the tip of the nut when the tie bar is re-fitted to the tie bar fixing nut. SOLUTION: The tie bar attachable/detachable device of a die casting machine or the like comprises the tie bar fixing nut with a gear engraved in a part of an outer circumference and a female screw formed on an inner circumferential surface, a die fixing panel to rotatably accommodate the tie bar fixing nut, a rotating means which is fitted tot the die fixing panel to rotate the tie bar fixing nut, a tie bar with a male screw screwed with the tie bar fixing nut formed on a part of the outer circumference, and a tie bar advancing/retracting cylinder to advance/retract the tie bar to/from the die fixing panel. The biting of the nut and the tie bar is smoothly performed by setting a space between the male screw and the female screw to be larger than a standard value when the male screw of the tie bar is screwed with the end of the female screw of the tie bar fixing nut.
