PURPOSE: A rolling control apparatus and a rolling control method through temperature compensation are provided to improve threadability of rolling strip and manufacture rolling strip of high quality by setting target tension values considering temperature variation of the front end part of the rolling strip. CONSTITUTION: The rolling control apparatus and a rolling control method through temperature compensation comprises an SCC (supervisory control computer)(10) for reading tension, target temperature and gain set value of each stands(1i,1ii); an actually measured temperature value collecting part(12) for reading actually measured temperatures measured from a thermometer positioned in front of first stand out of plural stands; a temperature deviation operating part(20) for operating deviation between a target temperature read in the SCC(10) and actually measured temperatures; a temperature compensation gain operating part(22) for operating a temperature compensation gain proportional to the temperature deviation; a tension compensation value operating part(24) for operating tension compensation value using the temperature compensation gain; and a tension setting value operating part(26) for operating tension setting value according to the tension compensation value, wherein tension of the rolling strip(2) is controlled by driving main motors(7i,7ii) of looper installed between stands(1i,1ii) according to the tension setting value.
