PURPOSE: A method of giving a paging-based packet push service in an advanced mobile communication network is provided to enable a terminal that does not perform a PPP(Point-to-Point Protocol) setup to set up a PPP by using a paging method of the mobile communication network, thereby receiving the push service in the terminal. CONSTITUTION: A mobile communication network searches a position of an MS(Mobile Station)(26) based on a packet supplied from a CP(Contents Provider)(21) and information of the MS(26)(S201-S203). The network requests the MS(26) to start a PPP session through a paging channel(S204). The session is formed between the MS(26) and the mobile communication network(S205-S210). The supplied packet is transmitted to the MS(26) based on an Internet protocol address of the MS(26) obtained from a PDSN(Packet Data Serving Node)(23). |
