PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for separating and concentrating a gas using a clathrate hydrate enabling the separation and concentration of a gas by a low-pressure operation, especially a method for separating hydrogen sulfide from a biogas and a method for separating methane from a hydrocarbon gas. SOLUTION: In a method for predominantly separating and concentrating a specific gas A from a gas mixture, an aqueous solution containing an alkylammonium salt is cooled in the presence of the gas mixture to precipitate the crystal of a clathrate hydrate having a hollow cage-like crystal structure containing gas A and the alkylammonium salt, provided that the crystal has a hollow cage-like structure having a molecular hole diameter capable of selectively absorbing gas A.
