PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method capable of simply and accurately measuring concentration of nitrogen dioxide on a pptv level, and a device using the method. SOLUTION: A single wavelength laser beam 2 is irradiated to each of the atmosphere to be measured 5 and the reference atmosphere 6 obtained by removing nitrogen dioxide from the atmosphere to be measured 5, and intensity of light generated by the atmosphere to be measured 5 and intensity of light generated by the reference atmosphere 6 are individually measured. Concentration of the nitrogen dioxide in the atmosphere to be measured is measured by subtracting the intensity of light generated by the reference atmosphere 6 from the intensity of light generated by the atmosphere to be measured 5. The reference atmosphere 6 obtained by removing the nitrogen dioxide is formed by passing the atmosphere to be measured 20 through a diffusion scrubber 19 formed by applying titanium oxide powder onto its tube wall. |
