PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method and an apparatus for producing an air permeable web of thermoplastic fibers. SOLUTION: This air permeable web comprises a wool web containing plastic filaments and a plastic film containing at least one kind of mineral fillers with the wool web adhered to the one side. The method for producing the air permeable web comprises the following process: for developing air-permeability, the wool web is rolled through two consecutive steps in the identical longitudinal direction; wherein through the two steps, at least partial surface embossing is performed.
