PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a ball screw having a long lifetime and a wide range of the tolerable error when it is installed. SOLUTION: The ball screw is equipped with a screw shaft 2 having a first groove 5 in spiral shape at the peripheral surface, a nut 1 externally fitted on the screw shaft 2 and having a second groove 4 in spiral shape at the inside surface, an aligning elastomeric piece 7 installed in the first groove 5 and having a projection ranging out of the first groove 5, and balls 6 rolling in a passage formed from the second groove 4 and the projection. The aligning elastomeric piece 7 has a spiral shape as filling the first groove 5 and is movable within the first groove 5.
