PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an image forming apparatus in which high picture quality is provided for an OHT and luster film media in high temperature and high humidity environment and uniformity of an image is maintained over a long period. SOLUTION: A transfer power supply 32Y, which applies a transfer bias to a transfer roller 4Y that is a transfer electrifying means, is connected to a detecting means 33Y. When the output of the power supply 32Y is subject to constant voltage control, the means 33Y detects the value of the current that flows in the power supply 32Y during a transfer bias application. When the output of the power supply 32Y is subject to constant current control, the means 33Y detects the value of the voltage generated in the power supply 32Y during a transfer bias application. Moreover, the means 33Y is connected to an arithmetic control unit (CPU) 34 and the applied voltage to a toner charging roller is arbitrarily set in accordance with the detected results of the means 33Y. |
