PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a print system in which alignment of print start position of a web and alignment of a buffer plate can be carried out automatically and an image can be printed accurately from the first print starting page, and to provide a method for controlling alignment at the time of starting print. SOLUTION: The print system comprises a first printer (P1) and a second printer (P2) disposed on the post-stage of the first printer (P1). The first printer comprises means for putting an alignment mark (Rm) at a predetermined position of a web (W), and the second printer comprises means (16) for detecting the alignment mark, and a buffer plate (12) disposed to advance/retract freely with respect to a web carrying passage in order to impart a constant tension to the web. The print system is further provided with a control means for setting a predetermined position of the buffer plate during an interval, where the alignment mark is carried by a predetermined distance after passing trough the mark detecting means. |
