PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a chargeable tucker which can detect presence/absence of a staple held thereby in a non-contact manner without being affected by the stain caused by machine oil or the like inside a body. SOLUTION: A staple detection sensor 44 is disposed between a magazine 18 and a magnet 50. When a rear end part of an iron staple 30 passes through a part in the vicinity of the magnet 50, the magnetic flux density is changed by the position, and the change is detected by the staple detection sensor 44 to detect presence/absence of the staple 30. The magnetic flux density is detected in a non-contact manner, and not affected by the stain of machine oil or the like inside the body, and thus, presence/absence of the staple can be stably detected. Accordingly, supply of the staple can be informed at an adequate timing, and the tucker can be safely used while preventing any blank drive.
