PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a perfluoroelastomer having excellent elastomer characteristics. SOLUTION: This perfluoroelastomer can be obtained by polymerizing the following monomers. (a) tetrafluoroethylene (TFE), (b) a fluorovinyl ether of general formula (I), CFX=CXOCF2 OR, (c) a bis-olefin of general formula (IA), RI1 RI2 C=CRI3 -Z-CRI4 =CRI5 RI6 and (d) optionally one or more fluorinated olefin comonomers selected from a 2-8C perfluoroolefin, a perfluoroalkyl vinyl ether (PAVE) of formula CF2 =CFOR<2> f and a perfluoro-oxyalkyl vinyl ether of formula CF2 =CFOX<a> and can be cured with a peroxidic route. The perfluoroelastomer contains iodine and/or bromine atoms at the chain and/or terminal positions. The halogen atoms are derived from the cure site comonomers and/or a chain transfer agent used in the polymerization.
