PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a cam chain tensioner consisting of an arm and a resin shoe installed on the chain sliding side of the arm, wherein a means as a substitute for any conventional member or works is furnished to decrease the number of component items, man-hours for works, and to shorten the working process. SOLUTION: The forefront of the resin shoe is formed as a U-form hook to be engaged with the forefront of the arm, and one side of the base of the shoe is extended to the mounting part of the arm, and a hole for tightening together with the arm is provided in the extension part, and a part of the shoe near its central part is turned round the side of the arm and extended in a channel shape to the abutting side of a tensioner lifter.
