PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To apply proper steering reaction force to an operation part according to the steering of wheels in a steering device for a vehicle of a steer-by-wire system having a connection part for mechanically connecting a steering force transmission mechanism and a reaction force transmission mechanism. SOLUTION: A reaction force motor 14 is mechanically connected to a steering wheel 11 via a reaction force transmission mechanism 13, applying reaction force to the steering wheel 11. A steering motor 15 is connected to the wheel side via a steering force transmission mechanism 16, steering the wheels. Part of the reaction force transmission mechanism 13 and part of the steering force transmission mechanism 16 are constituted by part of a planetary gear mechanism, and connected to a part of the parts of the planetary gear mechanism (a connection part 21) provided that the reaction force and the steering of wheels are allowed to operate independently. An electronic control system 55 corrects the operation control of the reaction force motor 14 so as to reduce the effect on the reaction force by the operation of the connection part 21 accompanying the steering of wheels. |
